A couple’s date night was ruined after a clip of jaw-dropping heavy traffic sent the internet into meltdown.
The video, which shows rows and rows of glowing brake lights clogging the road, racked up more than 511,000 likes on Instagram.
Viewers compared the scene to “hell” and “fire”.

Jennifer Phu had been passing over San Francisco Bay bridge for a romantic date night with her husband after finishing work.
But the pair never expected the gridlock they were about to face.
“I’ve never seen it that bad,” Jennifer told What’s The Jam.
“We knew what we were getting ourselves into with the traffic, but when we saw the sea of red, we remembered why we like to stay in the East Bay.”
The clip, which was also posted to TikTok, shows red brake lights glowing in the dark as vehicles crawl forward.

Viewers flooded the comments, shocked at the scale of the congestion in the Californian city.
One user commented: “What city is this so I can avoid it? I know they were sitting for at least an hour.”
Another viewer joked: “Bruh, it looks like fire.”

Meanwhile, another viewer said: “Bro, I thought Chicago was bad – JESUS!!!!!!!”
Jennifer added that the experience has only reinforced their decision to say no to dates in the city.
