A British woman has revealed how she’s living a real-life Emily in Paris fantasy after moving to the French capital.
Amelia Fry packed up her life in the UK and moved to the French capital four years ago to attend university.
She now works in social media marketing, just like Lily Collins’ character.

And the 23-year-old has even got a French boyfriend.
“I don’t have the salary to be buying as many designer clothes as Emily unfortunately, but in terms of working and general life, it’s kind of similar,” Amelia, originally of Wolverhampton, said.
“But my boyfriend is French, so I guess in my universe I chose the Gabriel.

“Since we both work in social media marketing and post on our own socials, our lives look super similar.
“My daily routine is meetings, filming content for clients, a lot of admin work, and then maybe going out for dinner and to influencer events if I happen to be invited to one that week.

“I usually go to brunch with my expat friends on Fridays.
“I love the TV show. When my life wasn’t as fun as it seems, it was a really nice form of escapism for me, and it’s actually because of Emily that I got into marketing in the first place.”
Amelia also told What’s The Jam: “I think Emily in Paris is accurate but romanticised.

“As the seasons go on, I think it gets more accurate except for the fact that Emily has never taken the metro.”

Amelia says she always knew she wanted to live in France.
She hopes to get French citizenship in two years.
Amelia says: “When I came to Paris for the first time, when I was 16, I fell in love with the city and knew I wanted to live here.
“It can be stressful living in Paris, but I’m grateful every day to be here.
“I think it is the best city in the world, although sometimes it gets a bad reputation if people just visit the touristy areas.
“And I love working here.

“It feels like there are so many opportunities and the work-life balance is amazing.”
Amelia says her life in Wolverhampton was very different.
She added: “It’s a bit hard to compare Wolverhampton and Paris because where I’m from was suburban.
“Even the city now is super quiet; most of the shops are closing, but in Paris, everything is always open, and it feels so much more alive.
“I’m a French girl through and through.”
