In a recent video that has nearly half a million views, he focuses on sugar in two of the most loved treats in people’s cupboards.
“The decision to share what is in food online was motivated by a personal journey of transitioning from consuming unhealthy foods to embracing a healthier lifestyle,” Joey, from Montreal, Canada, told What’s The Jam.
“I felt a strong desire to share my insights… I want to share that everyone has the capacity to make positive changes in their lifestyle by understanding and choosing what they consume wisely.”
First up on the list? Biscoff spread.
On a 400g jar, it states that for every two teaspoons of spread, there are around seven grams of sugar.

Joey says that if you divide seven by 20 and multiply by the entire jar, 400g, there is 140g of sugar in the whole jar.
He then spoons this amount of sugar into an empty jar next to the Biscoff jar, almost filling it completely.
The post was captioned: “How much sugar in Biscoff?” and has so far gathered over 7,490 likes, as well as hundreds of comments from shocked users.

He shows the jar to the camera and explains that there is 11g of sugar per 20g of Nutella, equivalent to one tablespoon.
The entire jar is 725g.
He then works out that if you divide 725 by 20 there is 36.25 tablespoons of Nutella.
He then times that by 11 and finds that the entire jar contains 398.75g of sugar.
He measures out the sugar into an identical, empty jar next to the Nutella, and reveals that it is over three-quarters of the way full of sugar.
