Basking in glorious sunshine and the sound of crashing waves, Boardmasters 2025 wrapped up another unforgettable five-day celebration on the Cornish coast, blending world-class music with its iconic surf competition.

Music lovers, surfers, and holidaymakers flocked to Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach for a weekend where the heat was almost as intense as the performances.

Taking centre stage for his first-ever major festival headline slot, Central Cee commanded Saturday night with a powerhouse set packed with fan favourites, including Doja, Sprinter and Let Go.

The 27-year-old rapper’s confident delivery and high-energy presence made for a defining career moment, with the crowd feeding off every beat under the warm summer night sky.

The festivities had kicked off in style the previous day, with indie mainstays Kaiser Chiefs setting the tone before The Wombats kept the atmosphere buzzing.

RAYE closed out Friday with a glittering, emotional performance, delivering her chart-topping hits Escapism, PRADA and Worth It, ensuring the opening day ended on a euphoric high.

Saturday’s daytime sets brought more energy and nostalgia, with Rizzle Kicks bouncing back into the spotlight under bright blue skies.

Nelly Furtado added star power to the afternoon, surprising fans with a guest appearance from Katy B. Australian favourites Ocean Alley delivered their signature laid-back grooves, while Mike Skinner of The Streets kept the tempo high with a lively DJ set that rolled seamlessly into Central Cee’s headline show.

The final day of the festival proved just as strong. Natasha Bedingfield warmed up the crowd before Franz Ferdinand unleashed a barrage of their signature indie-rock anthems.

Closing the weekend, electronic legends The Prodigy lit up the night with a blistering performance and a spectacular light show, capping off the festival in explosive fashion.

Beyond the music, Fistral Beach once again hosted the renowned Boardmasters Open surf competition, where Cornwall’s own Lukas Skinner stole the spotlight.

The talented young surfer achieved an impressive double podium finish in both the QS and Boys Juniors divisions repeating the remarkable feat for the second year in a row.

Reflecting on the success of the event, Boardmasters CEO Andrew Topham praised the fusion of culture, community, and creativity that has become the festival’s hallmark.

He noted the positive reception to new improvements, including traffic management and a revitalised atmosphere at Fistral Beach, which he said “felt like it did in years gone by.”

For fans already counting down the days, there’s good news—ticket holders from 2024 and 2025 can secure their spot at next year’s event through the ‘Loyalty Onsale’, which opens Wednesday 13 August at 10am.

Those keen to commit can spread the cost across an 11-month plan at £23.09 per month, ensuring the next chapter of Boardmasters will be within easy reach.
