A British holidaymaker has shared tips for women travelling solo to Ibiza.
Penny Uro spent four days and three nights at Hotel Vibra Algarb in Playa d’en Bossa, about two miles from Ibiza Town.
She said she travelled alone because she wanted to “let her hair down” after some personal issues.

The 41-year-old shared a video on Instagram for her 24,000 followers titled: “Things I learned as a solo traveller to Ibiza”.
In the clip, she advised single ladies to pack earplugs, wear comfortable shoes in clubs, make friends with other solo travellers, and discover beach restaurants together.
The travel enthusiast suggested: “Go to the Old Town, Ibiza has so much more than bars and clubs.”
Penny also gave her thoughts on the island’s famous nightlife.
“Ushuaïa Ibiza had the best atmosphere by far.

“Pacha and Hï Ibiza were packed, think tinned sardines.
“Drinks were prohibitively expensive – €18 for water, €30 for vodka and Coke.”
She added that the party town has “no dress code”, so “dress to impress”.

The travel enthusiast told What’s The Jam: “The nightlife was the sole reason I went.
“I was going through some personal difficulties and wanted to travel solo and just let my hair down.
“So the nightlife and clubs were the highlights, but Ibiza was also the first place where I discovered beach clubs, which is actually where I had the most fun.”
Penny, who works as a solicitor in the Midlands, said the drug culture on the island can sometimes get too much.
She said: “Drugs in clubs were rife, but that’s expected.
“The doormen do a bit of a show of looking through your bag at entry, but to be honest, I don’t think they even care if you have anything in there, given the amount of drugs that were being taken in the clubs.
“Every other person who walked past me was as high as a kite, but no one was intimidating, and everyone was just there having a good time.
“Alcohol in clubs is extremely expensive, so I can see why people turn to other things.
“While walking from the club to my hotel at 1 am, about a 10-minute walk, I was approached eight times by different men trying to sell me drugs, which I found quite surprising.”
She added: “A couple of the clubs were absolutely heaving and you couldn’t move, let alone dance.
“They don’t seem to have a limit on the number of entrants, so it just gets very sardine-like and unenjoyable.
“It’s also a health hazard.”
Her video has garnered over 26,000 views and dozens of comments on her ‘Penny Goes Travelling’ Instagram page.
In June this year, Penny visited Egypt and said she “couldn’t wait to leave” the country.
She had visited Egypt several times before, but found the “hassling for money and scamming culture so exhausting” on her latest trip.
She was allegedly bothered by Uber drivers, tour guides, street vendors, and airport staff – despite being in the company of four men and a child.
The travel enthusiast said her hotel was “shocking” because she was “constantly harassed for tips and catcalled”.
She added: “Even though I was travelling with four men, it seems that doesn’t put the locals off.”
After first visiting Egypt when she was 16 years old, Penny believes the country has changed in recent years.
She said: “I used to get hassled a lot, but I was never put in a place of fear.
“But this time, I experienced physical force, aggression, and people actively following me into private areas like the ladies’ toilets.
“If you don’t mind being ogled at, cat called, constantly asked for money in return for nothing, and if you enjoy your personal space being invaded, then Egypt is perfect.
“Otherwise, get back on the plane.”
