A Brit got a “nothing beats a Jet2holiday” ‘tattoo’ after memes of the hilarious voiceover went viral – but not all is as it seems.
Max Spigt, 22, made the spontaneous decision when he stumbled into a tattoo shop in Hersonissos, Greece.
A video of the ‘inking’ was posted to Star Ink’s Instagram page, where it has gained over 49.4 million views.

In the clip, Max can be seen lying on a bed as an artist pops stencils on his back.
The post was captioned: “Nothing beats a Jet2holiday, except a tattoo from Star Ink.”
But the shop’s social media manager, George, confessed it was all a big prank.
“We noticed a trending sound going viral on social media and decided to creatively combine it with our tattoo shop’s vibe,” George, 25, told What’s The Jam.
“The idea was to stencil a ‘jet2holidays’ tattoo on someone’s back as if they got a real tattoo.

“It was a playful, staged concept that we filmed for fun.”
The Jet2holidays jingle – along with Jess Glynne’s decade-old Hold My Hand – has been stuck in TikTok users’ heads for the last few weeks after the sound went unexpectedly viral.
In the advert, the voiceover says: “Nothing beats a Jet2holiday. And right now you can save £50 per person. That’s £200 off for a family of four.”

Now, thousands of people have used the 12-second clip to create funny content.
The majority of videos feature holiday bloopers that have no connection with Jet2holidays – such as walking through a normally sunny town in severe rain, or trying to get off a boat, missing the dock and taking an unexpected plunge into the water.
So far, George and Max’s prank has gathered 1.6 million likes as well as 2,200 comments from shocked users.
Freddy said, “He’s getting vacations free for life.”
Sarah added: “No.”

Tara added: “It’s now changed to £60 per person. Time to get the tattoo redone.”
Frania said, “He’s gonna regret that in ten years.”
