Vince Jackman and Tom Kereluk, a couple passionate about festive holidays, have decorated their Red Deer City home in Alberta, Canada, with an astounding 152 adorned Christmas trees. Their impressive collection, initiated 15 years ago, showcases unique themes on each tree, ranging from Las Vegas souvenirs to a Barbie-themed fir and a tribute to Ukraine.

Describing themselves as “hoarders at heart,” Tom expressed his sentiment, stating, “I just can’t throw anything out, so I make these trees that have stuff I already have or I’ve seen in a thrift store.” Their festive display isn’t just for personal joy; it serves a charitable purpose.

In a heartwarming gesture, they open their home for tours, aiming to raise funds for the Central Alberta Humane Society. Over the years, their efforts have contributed over $30,000 to the charity. Additionally, the couple pays homage to their late chihuahua, Sofia, who loved Christmas, dedicating three trees to her.

Expanding their philanthropic endeavors, Vince and Tom have invested in new decorations and accepted pre-loved ones from the public. The event, running from early December to January 14, 2024, allows visitors to tour their festive wonderland on specific dates, making donations to the chosen charity.

Tom expressed their desire to contribute during challenging times, stating, “We enjoy giving to others. It’s a tough year for charities, but being associated with them, it just tugs on my heart.”

Following a month of extensive decorating with abundant tinsel and baubles, Vince Jackman and Tom Kereluk open their home to the public, aiming to raise funds for the Central Alberta Humane Society. Their charitable initiative has accumulated over $30,000 (CAD) (£17,000) over the years. Additionally, they honor their late chihuahua, Sofia, who had a penchant for Christmas, dedicating three trees to her memory.

Vince, a travel agent, reminisces, “Every Christmas if you couldn’t find her, she was always underneath some of the trees. She would be laying there on the mats. This year, we have three trees dedicated to her, who we do all this fundraising for.”

Expanding their philanthropic efforts, the couple has invested in new decorations and accepted pre-loved items from the public. The event, taking place from early December to January 14, 2024, invites visitors on specific dates between 11 am and 4 pm to tour their festive wonderland, making donations to their chosen charity.

Expressing their commitment to giving back during challenging times, Tom shared, “We enjoy giving to others. I would like this to generate a lot for the humane society because it is a tough year for everyone. It’s a tough year for charities, but being associated with them, it just tugs on my heart.”
