It felt like someone was watching me: Man explores abandoned morgue with fridges still working

A man who explored an abandoned morgue says he felt like he was being watched while he walked around the gloomy rooms.

Jamie Robinson, 23, is well known online for exploring abandoned buildings, amassing over 188,000 followers on TikTok (@jamierob1999 ).

In one of his more spooky adventures, Jamie came across a derelict morgue and was shocked to find the mortuary cabinets were still working.

“I had a weird sense of someone watching me,” Jamie, from Northern Ireland, told NeedToKnow.co.uk.

“We had to climb through a skylight in the roof to get into the morgue.

“My favourite part was seeing the morgue table still intact and that the body fridges could still be turned on.

“I was surprised at how well the condition of the morgue was, with working electricity.”

Jamie took to his TikTok to share a video of the abandoned morgue, achieving 31,900 views from his spooky clip.

In the video, you can see a bank of individual refrigerated cabinets which hold up to four dead bodies.

As you make your way further into the building, you come across the autopsy room which still has equipment inside.

There is the table on which dead bodies will have been assessed, as well as trollies and cleaning products.

Jamie also reveals the ‘viewing room’, which will have been used for people to identify corpses.
