A lucky fan has been announced as the winner of a contest put on by pop superstar Shakira which saw her give away her supercar.
Michael Mejía was crowned the winner after taking part in an intense competition where he competed against thousands of others.
The young visual artist used his talent to create the winning video, which won the heart of the Whenever, Wherever singer.

To enter the competition, fans were required to make a video to go alongside Shakira’s latest single, Soltera.
The effort that Michael put in shone through in his video, as he blended drawing, technology, and dance together.
In his video, he can be seen sketching characters, including the Colombian musician.
He later looks down at his sheet of paper, as his drawing of her starts to sing.
His mother even made a few brief appearances in the clip and can be seen dancing with her son in the street in the video.

Other people also got involved to help Michael create an entry that would see him be announced as the winner.
Shakira revealed the winner of the competition on 6 December, on the program Despierta América.
Michael is set to take home the star’s purple 2022 Lamborghini Urus S, and a cheque for £70,000 to help cover the cars taxes, and travel costs for picking up the vehicle.

The car is worth a whopping £200,000, but its value could be much higher as Shakira designed it herself.
It has a 666hp V8 engine and can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in just 3.5 seconds, with a maximum speed of 305kph.
The Lamborghini featured in the official music video for the song Soltera.
In a video shared by Shakira, she can be heard saying: “It makes me very happy to be able to give it to someone as a tribute to their creativity and ingenuity.”
“The winner of my car is Michael Mejía.
“I am very happy for you, I know that you have put a lot of effort, a lot of dedication and affection.
“I’m glad it’s you because I’ve been very moved by your story.”
Michael, who is from Colombia, attracted over 58,000 likes on his entry which was shared on Instagram.
He revealed that he has been divorced for more than a year and still faces the pain of separation.
The artist revealed in his post: “If I win, this would change my entire career, my life would take a turn and I would get momentum to continue making art which is my soul’s purpose.”
On 7 December, the day after the winner was announced, Shakira shared a short statement on her Instagram page thanking those who took part.
Michael commented on the post, writing: “I adore you with my soul! Thank you for so much. I haven’t stopped crying.”
Five finalists were selected in the competition, which was initially announced on 20 November.
Those who made it to this stage will receive tickets for Shakira’s next concert, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Michael has also dedicated his triumph to his nieces Amalia and Adela, as well as to his mother and sister.
Michael’s mother told the artist that the nicest thing she could do in addition to giving away her car, was expressing the kind words towards him.
