More money than sense’: Dad drives 80 miles and spends £1,000 to buy kids Prime drink.

A dad has left TikTok users reeling after spending £1,000 on Prime drinks for his children.

A customer at Wakey Wines shop in Wakefield purchased three cases of the viral drink, which was released recently by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul.

The popular drink, which retails at £1.99, has sent shoppers into a frenzy to secure the goods.

The dad said he had made an 80-mile round trip from Retford, Nottinghamshire to the West Yorkshire city.

The shop shared a clip of the dad and his two sons holding up the drinks.

The owner asks where they have travelled from and how much they have spent on the drinks – to which they answer “£1,000”.

The shop owner gifts them a free bag of cold candy for the large purchase.

The shop shared a clip of the interaction on TikTok, where it garnered 678,000 views and 37,000 likes.

But the shocking amount spent on the drinks left TikTok users in shock.

One person commented: “He’s had to mortgage the house but at least he’s a good dad.”

“£72 worth of Prime for £1,000 BUT they got some free cold candy. Makes up for it I guess,” joked another user.

“£1 grand on drinks…” said someone else.
