Tom Kerridge’s tall burger has been branded “pompous c*ap” and slammed for being “impossible” to eat.
The TV chef is selling it for £19.50 at one of his posh restaurants The Coach.
It is stacked with soy and sesame chicken, smoked cheese and dill pickle and stands at about eight inches (20cm) tall.

But foodies have laid into The Coach Burger served up at the eatery in upmarket Marlow, Bucks for being too large.
Brett Armstrong fumed: “I’ve always said that if the burger is impossible to eat as a burger.
“And you have to take it apart to eat then cannot call it a burger.”
Sam Pepper said: “Not for me.
“Sure individually components are amazing but it’s not a burger if not handheld.”

Scott Collinson went one step further and added: “And that will be £500 please.”
Masterchef and Saturday Kitchen star Kerridge, 51, said he was inspired about the cartoon-style tall burgers that Scooby-Doo used to eat.
He said: “Check out the famous burger from The Coach in Marlow.
The idea behind this was to mimic the Scooby Doo Burger of being ridiculously tall.
“Do you think we nailed it?”
Kerridge – who owns nine restaurants in the UK and has three Michelin stars – added: “The idea was to make it fun, exciting, ridiculous, tasty, packed full of flavour.
“Layer, upon layer, upon layer, as it goes up and up.
“It’s just a childhood memory of thinking of Scooby-Doo when he has solved the crime.”
Lewis Howell quipped: “I haven’t got a Scooby-Doo what he’s on about.”
Yet Ashley Crossland said: “Oh my God, that looks amazing.”
Another said: “Love it chef.”
In May, Kerridge hiked the price of his posh fish finger sandwich at his Harrods restaurant, from £18 to £27, as reported by What’s The Jam.
In October last year, Kerridge sparked fury by charging £37 for fish and chips at the same posh eatery.
