In a TikTok video, racking up over 61,000 views, the content creator, from Preston, Lancashire, reveals his lesser-known hacks.
DRINK HOT COFFEE
Firstly, Elliot says not to ditch your morning coffee.
Hot drinks are a must as they make the body cool down in dry conditions but not when you’re sweating.
POP YOUR SOCKS IN THE FREEZER

Elliot also advises chilling socks in the freezer and popping them on before bed to keep cool, as well as putting moisturiser and sunscreen in the fridge, so it’s cold when applied.
WASH YOUR WRISTS
To cool down, rinse cold water onto both wrists and ensure to wear cotton due its breathable material.

USE YOUR COMMON SENSE
Another one of his videos include hacks that just require a bit of common sense – which many forget – racking up 36,000 views.
Elliot says to close the window when the sun is shining on it, don’t use the oven, drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol, avoid moving too much and create a makeshift pillow with frozen peas and a towel.
SAVE SOME POUNDS
With over 50,000 views, another clip reveals how to save money during the heatwave.
He says to wash dishes and bathe in cold water, use the air fryer instead of the oven and eat meals that require no cooking, such as salads.
Elliot advises turning the fan off at night to save on bills – and for safety reasons – and to pop all bottles of water in the freezer to make them colder and last longer.
Parts of South East England are set to reach a scorching 32C today, and the South West expecting a rare 29C.
And some places across England and Wales are likely to meet the official heat wave criteria.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) have also issued a Yellow Heat Health Alert across the country – except for the North East and North West.
While these hacks may only provide temporary relief from the sweltering heat, there’s no need to panic.
In true British style, a yellow alert for thunderstorms across the majority of England has been issued for Thursday, with “lightning, hail and gusty winds” expected.
