A plane passenger was stunned when he saw his family’s suitcases left behind on the tarmac moments before take-off.
Alberto took snaps of the forgotten cases through the plane window.
He then realised they were his.

The blunder happened at Barajas airport in Madrid, Spain.
He said “At Barajas, about to take off, I look out the window and see two suitcases lying on the runway.
“I tell my aunt, ‘Look, they dropped two suitcases.’
“And she says, ‘They look like mine and grandma’s.’ Well, guess what…”
As if that weren’t enough, Alberto went on: “And my grandma’s suitcase with a two-kilo cheese is lying on the runway at Barajas, baking in the 30°C sun.
“I can’t handle this.”
Despite departing without their luggage on board on He wrote on Saturday (13 Jul), Alberto managed to see the funny side.
Alberto and his family were eventually delivered their left-behind bags at their destination in La Manga, as reported on What’s The Jam.
He said on Monday (15 Jul): “They’re back home. And against all odds: the cheese is fine.
“This time it wasn’t two kilos, but it turns out it wasn’t travelling alone either.
“There was also a bag of padrón peppers and two chorizos sunbathing among the planes at Barajas.”
