Finished in the classic Rosso Corsa red with a cream leather interior, the car boasts pop-up headlights and a removable targa roof.
Under the bonnet sits a 2.9-litre V8 engine paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.
It also features a quad-exit exhaust, four Weber carburettors and four-wheel disc brakes.
Inside, the Ferrari includes a gated gear shifter, air conditioning and electric windows.
The car was specially modified during filming to suit Selleck’s 6ft 4in frame, with extra legroom added, as reported by Whats The Jam.
Documentation from Ferrari historian Marcel Massini confirms the vehicle’s use in the series, including the pilot episode titled Don’t Eat the Snow in Hawaii.
The show aired between 1980 and 1988 and helped cement the Ferrari 308 as one of the most recognisable cars in TV history.
The vehicle is now heading to auction in Palm Beach, Florida, where collectors are expected to battle it out to get their hands on it.
