A company spokesperson said the vehicle was chosen for its electric-powered performance, fast charging capabilities, and environmental benefits.
The Tesla had to undergo significant modifications to serve its purpose as the company’s main hearse.
The vehicle’s rear doors were taken out and the body was extended by over 85cms to accommodate a casket.
However, the funeral firm said the modifications had a negative effect on the vehicle’s battery range, which went from around 308 miles (495kms) to 233 miles (375kms).
