A futuristic super-yacht that floats OVER the water has been unveiled.
The flash boat, called Plectrum, is set to cost £80 million.
Dubbed a ‘flying’ yacht because it will be able to travel at 75 knots (86mph) above the water line.
It can glide through the air and water simultaneously like a hoverboard.
The luxury vessel has an impressive six bedrooms and a swimming pool.
The levitating yacht even features a helipad and dual garage, should you want to leave the impressive ship.
Created by Italian designer Pierpaolo Lazzarini, the Plectrum marks a new mode of luxury travel and will be powered completely by renewable energy.
Spanning 74 metres long, almost as tall as Big Ben at 96 metres, the foil super-yacht glides above the water’s surface using the latest technology and its green energy sources.
The interior of this striking ship is divided into four-floor levels, with the main body offering a shipowner suite on top of the six guest bedrooms, as well as a helicopter hangar and the central garage which can be configured for two cars or water toys.
Meanwhile, in the outdoor area, guests can cool off with a dip in the pool, or sunbathe on the ship’s expansive decking area.
Whilst the hull shape draws inspiration from Prada’s 2023 model of cup sailboats, the Plectrum is powered by three hydrogen-powered motors which are capable of 15,000 hp in total, instead of the previous design’s wind-powered design.
Meanwhile, the foil system is adjustable, depending on the needs of the cruise, allowing between 15 and 20 metres of beam depending on whether the ship is anchored or sailing at high speed.
