Brand new it would have cost £1.42million when it was made in 2022.
But it is being sold at auction by RM Sotheby’s with a guide price of between £939,000 and £1.28million.
It is a price drop of up to £481,000 in just two years.
The McLaren has been owned by just one person and they also spent £77,000 on add-ons.
It has just eight kilometres which is 4.9 miles on the clock.
It goes under the hammer in Monaco on 11 May.
A RM Sotheby’s spokesperson said: “One of the standout early consignments for the sale is the 2022 McLaren Elva.
“The lightest, most extreme road car McLaren has ever produced, delivering the purest possible driving experience.
“This example is chassis no. one, in addition to being one of just 149 in existence and shows a mere 8km on the odometer, meaning it is presented in factory-fresh condition.”
The added: “An outstanding example of McLaren’s innovation and expertise, the Elva remains one of the most ambitious elite performance cars of recent years.
“A machine that is equally at home blasting down backroads, being pushed to the limit on the track or even just being admired on display in a collection.
“As such, interest in this wonderful model is anticipated to be extremely high.”
