A hapless deer was saved after a getting plastic container stuck on its head for 12 days.
Cops eventually managed to corner the animal and safely remove it yesterday (22 Feb) morning.
The police first received reports of the situation on 10 February.
However, officers were unable to get close to the deer in Vermillion near Indianapolis, Indiana, US.
They were then able to track down the animal nearly two weeks later.
Cops noticed that the deer had managed to split the container enough so it could eat and drink with it around its head.

Officers of the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office were then able to “work together to corner the deer and safely remove the container from its head”.
