A classic Pink Floyd CD has been returned to a library after being taken out 35 years ago.
Librarians said they were shocked to discover the copy of the rock band’s 1975 album ‘Wish You Were Here’ in their drop box.
Released as the group’s follow-up to ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’, the album features classic songs such as the title track and ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’.
The album was booked out of Laurel Branch Library in Laurel City, near Baltimore Maryland, US, back in 1989.

The CD was dropped into the library’s return box by a mystery patron, leaving officials ‘comfortably numb’.
As it had been absent for so long, the CD wasn’t on the library’s computer system so they had no idea who checked it out.
However, the patron would have escaped a hefty charge anyway as the Maryland library is now fine free.
A library spokesperson said: “Better late than never.
“Bet they’re glad we went fine free.”
The album will be returned to the library’s music section where it will become ‘another CD in the wall’.
One local joked: “I bet you wished it was here earlier.”
Another said: “What a throwback.”
