A baffled woman has spotted the face of Jesus Christ on a brick wall near her local church.
Sarah Lenore was enjoying a coffee after Sunday service when she noticed it on a nearby building.
The mother-of-two saw the marks in the brickwork resembled the son of God with long hair and a beard.
The 44-year-old community college assistant said: “Jesus’ face in the brick of our coffee area at church.”
It was spotted at Greater Alton Church in Rosewood Heights, south west of Springfield, Illinois, US, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Local Eddie Mitchell said: “What does a Messiah have to do to get a cup of coffee around here?”
Another added: “Protect that brick at all costs.”
Summer Jones said: “Jesus napping.”
Jennifer Ward stated: “He looks mad, what did you do?”
Sarah Lee Bartko said: “Acts 4:11-12 says ‘This Jesus is the stone rejected by you builders, which has become the cornerstone’.”
