Waitrose has slashed prices on more than 160 of its most popular products as part of a £20m investment aimed at helping shoppers cut the cost of their weekly shop.
The supermarket said prices have been reduced by an average of 12% across a range of own-brand items bought by nearly eight in 10 customers.
Products included in the latest cuts range from cupboard staples and fresh food to snacks and household favourites.

Examples include Essential British chicken breast fillets, Essential strawberries, Greek yogurt and baked beans.
The move marks the ninth round of Waitrose’s New Lower Prices campaign since 2023, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The retailer said it has now invested a total of £162.5m in lowering the cost of more than 1,000 products over the last three years.
Waitrose said the latest reductions are focused on products that regularly feature in customers’ everyday shops.
The supermarket added that the cuts had been made without compromising on quality, sourcing standards or animal welfare commitments.
Nathan Ansell, customer director at Waitrose, said: “We know our customers are still watching every penny they spend, but they shouldn’t have to compromise on quality.
“This latest investment in lowering prices on everyday essentials means customers can enjoy the quality they expect from Waitrose at even better value.”
The price cuts were announced on Tuesday (27 May).
