Russ Cook – aka the Hardest Geezer – has joked about his book launch woes after the first review branded it a ‘load of tosh’.
The 27-year-old got his moniker after running the length of Africa.
He covered 10,000 miles across 16 countries in 352 days and finished in April.

Russ has penned a book called Mind Over Miles.
But the ultra-athlete of Worthing, West Sussex, details everything he went through on his year-long trek.
Despite being a favorite of the nation, one reviewer couldn’t resist leaving a trolling comment on launch day.
The anonymous review stated: “Load of tosh.
“He strapped his Garmin to his dog when he was doing the tour of Africa.
“The man’s legacy is built on the foundations of fraud; of a dog he had with him on that journey.
“He’d just sit in the comfy van, and then get out and run a bit when the dog got tired.
“Could never be me.”
Russ gave the review a blunt response stating: “Book launch day going well.”
Mind Over Miles is now the number one best seller in its genre on Amazon.
It launched on 24 October on platforms such as Amazon, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Fans of Russ Cook were left in stitches by the comment.
Ryan stated: “I’m halfway through the audiobook already.
“Can’t wait to get to the dog part.”
Brennan said: “You did a really good job of never showing that dog in any of your videos.”
Taylor Acton added: “A dog running the length of Africa makes for a heck of a story too.
“Either way should be a good book.”
Nick said: “I don’t even think a dog could run that much.”
Phil Smith joked: “I had my suspicions.”
