Nike has been mocked for selling a £550 poncho that transforms into a tent.
The futuristic-looking piece of clothing is designed to serve as both a camper’s clobber and a home.
Priced at a whopping £549.99, the one-size poncho is from the brand’s ISPA collection.

Made from sustainable materials, it can act as shelter from the sun and is water repellent for downpours – perfect for outdoors adventurers.
The Metamorph, as it’s called, comes in photon dust, iron grey and dark Stucco colourway.
The pouch attached to the back holds the collapsible poles for the tent and carries the iconic Nike swoosh, as reported by What’s The Jam.
A Nike spokesperson said: “This hybrid piece from our ISPA Collection adapts to your environment by converting between a poncho and sunshade.
“Using collapsible poles, the water-repellent poncho morphs into a sunshade. We’ve included instructions, don’t worry!”
Members of the public have given their opinion on this latest innovation.
Robert Murt said: “Getting one for when my wife kicks me out for buying too many shoes.”
Michael Hunter posted: “How dumb.”
Another added: “It’s giving me Star Wars.”
A fourth said: “These are going to be everywhere under your local big city bridges and highways.”
