McDonald’s has delighted breakfast fans by confirming the return of a much-loved menu item after two years away.
The returning favourite is McDonald’s Mini Hash Browns, which first appeared on UK menus in 2024.
The “mini but mighty” product will be available again from Tuesday, August 25 – but customers will have only a limited time to get their hands on it.

Customers will be able to order the bite-sized potato treats in a 15-piece Sharebox during breakfast hours, which end at 11am, as reported by What’s The Jam.
McDonald’s said: “It’s a universal truth that nothing hits like the golden crispiness of a McDonald’s Hash Brown, and that’s why McDonald’s UK&I is excited to announce the return of the beloved breakfast item – Mini Hash Browns.
“Each Mini Hash Brown is made to deliver the same irresistible crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior that we have all come to love, but now in mini form.
“They’re available in a 15-piece Sharebox to enjoy with family or friends.”
“They may be small in size, but they made a big impression on Maccies fans.
“Now, they’re back by popular demand, giving fans a limited window to get their crispy, fluffy fix before they’re gone again.
“Get them while you can. They’re what mornings are made of.”
The announcement has sparked excitement among McDonald’s fans on social media.
One person said: “What absolutely delightful news this is! I bloody love them.”
Another person replied: “Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!”
A third person described the news as “amazing”, while another celebrated by saying: “Wahoo.”
McDonald’s has not confirmed how long the Mini Hash Browns will remain available.
