Jamie Oliver has left Italians fuming by adding mushrooms to his carbonara.
The TV chef whipped up the classic pasta dish with tagliatelle made from sliced-up lasagne sheets.
He also added two rashers of smoky bacon, rosemary, parmesan and an egg.

But Oliver, 49, also put button mushrooms in it.
Italians and other foodies were left fuming despite the chef’s addition.
Fabio Davide Bellotta said: “Do not call it carbonara please.”
Stefano Riccardi added: “I’m sure It tastes really good.
“Just not a carbonara.”
Madii Roberts said: “Don’t call it carbonara then.
“Call it bacon rosemary mushroom pasta.”
Heidi McDonnell added: “Yuck!
“Not a carbonara then.”
Gillian Shannon stated: “It’s not a carbonara anymore then.”
Oystein Larsen added: “Please just call it something else then…”
Yet Barry Kennedy said: “Sorry Italians but I always put mushrooms in my carbonara.
He is not the first TV cook to spark anger in this way, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Gordon Ramsay came under fire for putting peas in his in October 2023.
