A hotel, which was bombed by the IRA while Margaret Thatcher was staying, is selling off its old furniture.
The Grand Hotel in Brighton has been selling beds, bedside tables, wardrobes, desks and chairs to raise cash.
The property – which also starred in Only Fools and Horses – is kitting itself out ahead of a refurbishment.
The highest price paid for an item was £320 for a selection of ceiling to floor cotton drapes.
The cheapest item was a mahogany-framed mirror that sold for £5.
More than £8,450 was spent at the first phase of the auction.
Pro Auction will list items every five weeks from March.
The Brighton hotel was bombed during a 1984 Conservative conference by the IRA.
Five people died and 34 were injured in the attack.
It was aimed at the then Prime Minister Thatcher and her Cabinet.
It opened in 1864.
As part of the renovation all 201 guest bedrooms will be upgraded.
Leonardo Hotels bought The Grand in February this year.
