The first beach day of the year was ruined for sun-starved Brits when construction vehicles bulldozed across the sand at a popular beauty spot.
Sean, from Newquay, Cornwall, was relaxing by Towan Beach on Saturday (1 March) when he heard the rumble of the engines nearby.
A few seconds later, he spotted three tractor-like motors travelling across the sand.

“I was just having a walk around the beaches and coastal paths – enjoying the first proper sun of 2025,” he told What’s The Jam.
“It was busy everywhere and everybody seemed to be having the same thought – finally Spring is here.
“But in all honesty, it ruined the peace a lot.
“I am just shocked they decided to do it on the weekend on such an amazing day.
“It’s a bit of disrespect towards the locals.
“Everybody was taking pictures and videos – I was definitely not the only one who was not amused about this.
“It was noisy and I do not even know what they were doing really.”
In a clip provided by Sean, the three construction vehicles can be seen travelling up the beach surrounded by black smoke.
In a second video, they stop at the top of the beach and use the scoop of the tractor, called the bucket, on the sand.
It has not been confirmed what exactly the construction vehicles were there for.
