Families can win VIP theme park experiences and behind-the-scenes tours this summer – simply by recycling their empty Coca-Cola bottles.
The drinks giant has brought back its recycling vending machines to some of the UK’s biggest attractions, giving visitors the chance to bag exclusive prizes for doing their bit for the environment.
Guests who feed empty 500ml plastic bottles into the machines will be entered into prize draws offering money-can’t-buy experiences.

The scheme is running at 10 major attractions across the country until 9 September, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Thirty reverse vending machines have been installed through Coca-Cola’s renewed partnership with Merlin Entertainments.
Participating venues include Alton Towers Resort, Chessington World of Adventures Resort, Thorpe Park and Cadbury World.
Sea Life centres in Blackpool, Birmingham, Brighton and London are also taking part.
Among this year’s prizes are VIP experiences and behind-the-scenes tours, including the chance to see what goes on behind popular rides at Thorpe Park such as Saw: The Ride and Ghost Train.
The initiative, now in its fourth year, aims to encourage families to recycle more plastic bottles while rewarding them with unique experiences.
Nearly 30,000 transactions were recorded through the machines last year alone, with hundreds of bottles recycled since the scheme first launched.
Dusan Stojankic, general manager at Coca-Cola GB&I, said: “We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Merlin Entertainments for a fourth year, turning recycling into an exciting opportunity for families and thrill seekers across the UK to win fantastic prizes.
“The reverse vending machines are a fun and impactful way to encourage sustainable habits while creating magical memories.”
Jo Padwick, senior sustainability manager at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, added: “Building on our partnership with Merlin, we’re introducing even more exciting rewards through our RVM initiative.
“Partnerships like this play an important role in ensuring more bottles are collected and kept within the circular economy, rather than ending up as waste.
