A tourist has gone viral after getting locked in a hilarious “towel war” with a hotel cleaner during her stay abroad.
Airė Andrijauskė put her folding skills to the test after challenging staff to turn towels into quirky creations, and the results left millions in stitches.
The 34-year-old kicked things off after finding a swan made from towels waiting for her when she first checked into her room.
Not to be outdone, she crafted her own design, left a note and a tip, and unknowingly sparked a daily back-and-forth battle with the cleaner.
From crocodiles to “drunk tourists” and even swinging monkeys, the pair kept trying to outdo each other with ever more creative displays.
The brilliant clip has since racked up a huge 8.7 million views and more than 856,000 likes online.
“It turned into a kind of friendly ‘towel war’ between us,” Airė, from Utena, Lithuania, told What’s The Jam.
“I would make something, and later when I returned to the room, I would find that the hotel staff had made a new creation in response.
“This continued every day during my stay.
“It felt like a creative game between us.
“At the same time, I was always thinking about what funny or interesting thing I could make next.”
The towel showdown took place at the Long Beach Hotel in Hurghada, Egypt.
Airė got inventive, creating a swan, a snake, a tourist and even a crab using towels, sunglasses, bottle lids and shot glasses as props.
But the hotel worker was not going down without a fight, responding with impressive designs including a crocodile, elephant and teddy bear.
The cleaner clinched victory on the final day with a cheeky monkey made from towels, swinging from a coat hanger.
Airė added: “The hotel staff were very friendly, and I actually spoke with the room attendant later.
“He said he also really enjoyed this little towel war.
“It was a fun experience for both of us.”
Viewers were loving every second of the wholesome rivalry.
One person said: “Why do they just know how to do that?”
Another wrote: “This is the best.”
A third added: “I know the hotel staff is fighting each other to clean that room.”
Someone else joked: “Hotel were absolutely cooking.”
And one viewer said: “You better be putting 20s down for that level of service.”
