A tourist was gored by a bull while posing for a snap at a traditional festival.
The smiling woman was standing in the street next to the animal and its handler.
The bull suddenly butted its head into her upper body, goring the inside of her left arm.
The animal’s horn seemingly impales the woman’s flesh as she screams in pain.
The handler manages to pull the stocky beast away as a man goes to check on the injured tourist.
The bull attack took place during a traditional festival in Valle de los Chillos near the Ecuadorian capital Quito on Sunday (1 Sept)
One local said: “I don’t know what’s worse, a person who walks a bull around like it’s a dog.
“Or someone who stands next to it for a photo.”
Javier added: “Who would want to pose next to a bull?
“Some people go looking for trouble.”
Jonathan said “She was lucky it was her arm and not her chest.”
Ignacio remarked: “Pure prehistoric culture.”
The injured woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment to her left arm, as reported by What’s The Jam.
There have been no further updates on the extent of her injury and current condition.
