“I even had one guy ask me to prove it was real by eating a rose in front of him.
“You’re always going to get the odd person that loves to spread negativity towards people.
“Let a heartbroken pop star take his moment.”
Dan had been out celebrating what he calls “anti-Valentine’s Day” with his single mates.
Viewers were left shocked by the clip.
One person said: “Please don’t do this, conventional flowers are drenched in pesticides.”
Another person added: “Kind of sums up my Valentine’s too, mate.”
One other person said: “This is the most romantic thing I’ve seen all day.”
A fourth viewer joked: “Eating your feelings.”
And a fifth person said: “She loves me, she loves me not.”
The footage was used as a “shock factor” moment to help promote his new song ‘Someone Else’.
Dan figured such a drastic choice of snack stunt might get him noticed.
He added: “It was more of a social experiment to prove that rising or underground artists have to do some crazy stuff lately to get their music heard.
