A surprised woman was awakened in the middle of the night to a peculiar sight – a horse wandering down her road.
Karen Coussens, 63, heard an unusual noise while in bed. Checking her security CCTV, she was astonished to discover an inquisitive horse in her lane.
In the amusing 41-second clip, the horse appears from the right, pauses, gazes at her house for five seconds, and continues down the street, passing wheelie bins and cars before vanishing from view.

Karen, living with husband Nick, expressed, “This is the reason why I didn’t get much sleep. The horse trotted along the lane at 3.30 am.
It’s strange what you see at that time. He stopped, looked at our house, and then carried on.” The peculiar incident occurred on Friday morning in residential Walnut Tree Lane, Westbere, near Canterbury, Kent.
Retired dog groomer Karen humorously remarked, “I’ve had animals in my house before. But I knew they were coming. This one was just having a good look around.”
The horse has been safely returned to its field at a local livery.
