A “UFO cloud” was spotted hovering over Antarctica.
The eerie-looking cloud formed when the wind collided with a mountain.
Known as a lenticular cloud, the phenomenon resembled an alien spacecraft in the sky.

The image was taken by meteorologist Fernando Martin of the Chilean Meteorological Directorate (DMC) last Tuesday (20 May).
It was snapped near the Teniente R. Marsh Airport on King George Island in Antarctica.
The photo appeared to show one “UFO cloud” and part of another just behind it.
The DMC said: “No, they are not UFOs.
“They are saucer-shaped clouds that form when the wind collides with the mountains.”
One local said: “They are stunning.”
Another added: “Lenticular clouds, they’re so beautiful.”
In June last year, a mysterious ‘ring UFO’ was spotted in the sky by a motorist in Valencia, west of Caracas, Venezuela, as reported by What’s The Jam.
The dark circular object was partially concealed inside a wispy cloud in broad daylight.
One local remarked: “Finally aliens have visited Venezuela, it’s only been the USA until now.”
Another added: “They’re caused by fumaroles from volcanoes or industrial chimneys.”
Jean wrote: “Everyone knows this is smoke emitted by buses on the Los Guayos-Guacara route.”
