A deep sea fisherman has left social media users in hysterics after unveiling his latest find – a crab that he likened to Donald Trump.
Roman Fedortsov regularly goes viral with his series of strange and otherworldly catches – but this one is drawing attention thanks to its resemblance to the US president.
With a ‘frowning’ expression, pursed ‘lips’ and, of course, a bright orange hue, fans of the fisherman were quick to liken the crustacean to the politician.
Roman, who works on a trawler in Murmansk in the northwest part of Russia, shared a picture of the find with his 614,000 followers, captioning it: “Trump crab.”
One follower commented: “Trump is that you?”
“Lookalike,” another viewer agreed.
Someone else added: “For real.”
Others shared laughing and thumbs up emojis to share their agreement, with the post garnering over 1,100 likes.
Roman has previously made headlines for various other fascinating finds, including a video of a creepy “alien”-like fish.
Sporting a large, bulbous body, shrunken eyes and gaping mouth, you’d be forgiven for mistaking the fish for something from another planet.
But Roman plucked it from a northern part of the Pacific Ocean, sharing the footage online.
He identified the beast as an Aptocyclus ventricosus – also known as the smooth lumpfish or smooth lumpsucker.
The species of marine ray-finned fish is found in the deep sea and measures up to 44cm.
While their appearance is certainly unique, it appears to have undergone some swelling – likely due to the pressure change in being brought to the surface – resulting in the distended body.
