A football fan has been reunited with his wedding ring containing his late baby son’s ashes after he lost it at a match.
Bristol City supporter Andrew Olpin was wearing the ring when his side played Hull City.
The treasured jewellery had the ashes of his eight-week-old boy Harrison in it.
He passed away in November 2022.
The ring also had his initials ‘HEO’ engraved inside.
Heartbroken Andrew’s wife Lauren has a matching ring.
Staff at Bristol City’s 27,000 capacity Ashton Gate stadium searched high and low for it after the game on 22 December.
They were able to find it and reunite it with Andrew, of Nailsea, Somerset.
He said: “When I lost it, I was in a state of shock.
“It’s so precious and I couldn’t find it anywhere.
“We are so grateful to everyone at Ashton Gate for searching for it and to get it back means so much.
“It’s overwhelming and I am so grateful.”
Ross Wormald, operations director at Ashton Gate, said: “We’re so happy for Andrew and Lauren that we were able to help them be reunited with something that means so much to them.
“As soon as we found out the ring was lost, our staff started searching and we managed to find it a few days later.”
Bristol City won the match versus Hull 3-2 in the Championship clash.
