A Jim Carrey lookalike says she dreads the festive period as people ask her to impersonate The Grinch.
Heather Shaw has been told she has an uncanny resemblance to the famous comedian since she was eight.
The now 36-year-old says the likeness has caused strangers online to point out that she looks like the 62-year-old actor at least once a day.

But she isn’t looking forward to the yuletide season when people request that she impersonate the classic cantankerous character.
“I have his smile,” Heather, told What’s the Jam.
“I dread Christmas because around that time I really hear it.
“I’m not a huge Grinch fan and I can’t do impersonations because there’s a lot of make-up involved.
“He was everywhere in the nineties and it started around the time Ace Ventura came out.
“I can do the same faces. My friends get me to do it. I never had to practice. I just have his face.
“Nobody thinks I look like a man but every day online someone points it out.
“A lot of people think I would be annoyed but I don’t care at all. I embrace it. I know what I look like.”
But Carrey and Heather’s similarities don’t stop there.
They also both make a living out of making people laugh.
Heather, from Louisville, Kentucky, US, has been a stand-up comedian for 10 years.
She said: “It’s so weird because I’ve always wanted to be a comedian.
“It would be weird if I had my face and I was an accountant or something.
“It would be really jarring.
“He’s very physical, out of the box and eccentric when he does stand up.
“I’m definitely goofy but more traditional.”
Heather’s lawyer fiancé, Lilly Coiner, 25, is a huge fan of the classic Christmas film.
Heather said: “My fiancé loves the film but I never got into it.
“Some people say she wants to b*ng Jim Carrey but she obviously likes women.”
Heather says she’s even managed to convince her TikTok followers that she’s the long-lost daughter of the Canadian-American actor.
She added: “If someone says Jim Carrey is ugly I’m like ‘ouch’.
“I’m desensitised to people saying I look like him now. It doesn’t bother me at all.
“Sometimes I say that I’m Jim Carrey’s long lost daughter but people believe me so I have to tell them I’m joking.
“People have asked if he’s noticed me.
“I don’t think he’s that on it with social media.
“If he’s seen it, he doesn’t care. If someone had your face and told you about it you probably wouldn’t care.”
