A young woman has decided to live in the toilet at her place of work so that she can save money.
Ms Yang’s boss agreed to let her rent out the loo at the furniture store for just £5 per month.
The 18-year-old offered to pay £21 a month; however, her boss refused, with her rent only covering the bill for electricity and water that she uses.
Ms Yang, who has 16,000 followers on the social media platform Douyin, has filmed videos where she documents her life.
She sleeps on a folding bed and has a clothing rail where she keeps her clothes.
The toilet cubicles are blocked off by Ms Yang, as she hangs a large piece of cloth up so that the doors are covered.
She even cooks and eats in the space, and in a video, she can be seen using a chopping board.
Her ingredients are placed in several balls on a ledge which she has covered with a cloth.
Ms Yang, who works as a salesperson at the furniture store, cooks her food in a pan using a portable hob in the clip.
Additionally, she is also able to use the space for her laundry and decided to set up a washing line on the building’s rooftop.
She has also recorded herself giving the room a thorough cleaning and has stated that she always thoroughly cleans the toilet so there is no odor.
During the day, she packs up her things so that the space can be used by employees and customers, as reported by What’s The Jam.
According to her, customers have found it strange to see a lot of personal belongings in the bathroom.
They, however, tend not to ask any questions.
Her workplace also has an office, but Ms Yang has said she would not feel safe sleeping there due to there not being a door.
In the toilet home, she uses her folding bed to block the door and prevent any intruders from entering at night.
Ms Yang, who previously lived at her boss’ home, is content with her life living in her work’s bathroom.
She hopes to save the money she earns so that she can buy a home or a car for herself in the future.
Currently, Ms Yang earns around £317 a month, with her outgoings amounting to around £42.
She saves the rest and has said that even her boss tells her she is ‘too thrifty’ with her money.
