A woman has transformed her Harry Potter-themed home into a witchy wonderland ahead of the festive season.
Hannah Chapman previously hit headlines for spending over £40,000 to transform her house into the perfect pad for a fan – including a Whomping Willow in the dining room, a Ministry of Magic bathroom, and a Gryffindor common room bedroom.
Now Christmas has come to ‘Hogwarts’, with the wizard house celebrating the season with festive wreaths, floating candles, and witches’ boots hung from the door.Sharing her unique designs on Instagram (@101houseattheend ), the interior designer has amassed over 28,000 followers from Potterheads around the world.
“I wanted to literally deck the halls, so as soon as you stepped inside it felt like you were walking into a witchy wonderland,” the 30-year-old, from York, told Whats The Jam.
“Because we are limited on space in our little house of witchcraft and wizardry, I designed it so that the majority of the decorations were suspended from the ceiling and walls.
“The garland hanging from the ceiling is the most exciting addition this Christmas and definitely makes the house feel like a festive fairy tale.
“Every year I will be adding more and more decorations to the house and hope that guests will find it as magical as I do.”
Making most of her decorations by hand, Hannah has filled the magical home with dried fruit, tea-stained paper stars, and a holiday garland that is eight meters long.
She said: “I grew up with Harry Potter, so I of course love it, like every other person my age.
“I think what I love most about Harry Potter is that it’s a world you can escape into, away from the real world.”
Complete with a book nook, potion collection, and floating candles that are controlled by a wand and uttering of the ‘Lumos’ spell, Hogwarts has come to York.
Now Hannah lets Harry Potter fans share in the fantasy, advertising her home on Airbnb from £112 a night, located in York, England.
To stay here you have to be quick, with the wizarding wonderland booked fully booked five weeks in advance.
Sharing the Christmas touches to 101 House on the End on Instagram, Hannah quickly gained over 10,200 views and 560 likes of adoring fans.
