A shocked man found a huge snake inside his bird nesting box.
Instead of finding chirping bluebirds inside, he discovered the serpent curled up – having eaten them all.
The man, named Marty, shared a horrifying snap of the encounter online.
It shows the smug snake enjoying the toasty nesting box after its meal.
Marty, from Delaware, US, said: “Opened the door to my bluebird nesting box to check on the growth of the baby birds and found this snake inside.
“All my birds were eaten.”
He identified it as a black rat snake, which can grow up to six feet long.
The post garnered more than 70,000 reactions and thousands of comments.
One person quipped: “You created a bed n breakfast for snakes.”
“I see no regret on that snake’s face,” another user commented.
Someone else said: “As someone with an incredible amount of phobia surrounding snakes, this is a literal nightmare lol.”
