A couple who view their pets as children have unveiled the impressive – and rather luxurious – bedroom they created for their dogs.
When Serena Stadler and husband Brett bought their home, they decided to honour their fur babies by creating a “special” space.
The couple, both 24, set about over the course of three days transforming one of their bedrooms into a designated dog room – complete with dog houses for beds, paw print wallpaper, a closet full of clothes, dresser, and custom portraits on the walls.

Her chihuahuas, 14-year-old Madi and 11-month-old Remi, treat the space like a traditional bedroom, using it to play and sleep.
“It’s designed to resemble a baby nursery but for dogs,” Serena, a content creator based in Utah, US, told What’s The Jam.
“I decided to create a dedicated bedroom for them to provide a peaceful and happy space.
“They have so many belongings, and I thought it would be adorable to curate a room just for them, treating them like our children.”
The couple, who have chosen not to disclose the cost of the project, spent three days transforming the room into a place fit for their beloved pets.
They set out to create a space that combined the “cosiness of a nursery with the functionality of a dog room”.
Serena added: “The space features a DIY board and batten design on the walls painted in a soft beige, creating a gender-neutral environment since Madi is a girl and Remi is a boy.
“I found the perfect paw print wallpaper that I couldn’t resist.
“They treat it like a traditional bedroom, and play and sleep in there.
“I absolutely love the finished result.
“Having this space has been really helpful day-to-day, especially since it’s located on the main floor of our home, making bathroom trips much easier.”
Serena documented their efforts on Instagram, where they have 600,000 followers.
The reveal of the final look garnered 1.2 million views and more than 50,000 likes.
One fan commented: “When you’re jealous of a dogs bedroom because it’s better than yours haha.”
“I would SO AirBnB this room!” another person said.
Someone else called them the “luckiest dogs”.
Another viewer wrote: “Every dog deserves a room like this. My dogs told me to get to work on their room.”
“What a wonderful life you’ve given them,” agreed another follower.
Serena said of the response: “Many people have been inspired to create their own dedicated dog rooms.
“It’s heartwarming to see how others, like us, view their dogs as their children.”
