A bored Bobcat that broke into a woman’s house was left unimpressed as officers tried to lure it out with a laser pointer.
The wildcat, also known as a Lynx rufus, is known to be an excellent climber.
It had snuck into the home and perched itself on a ledge behind the TV.

The local sheriff’s office was called for assistance.
One of the deputies who attended the scene tried to trick the animal in a video that has over 841,000 views online.
“Hi kitty, kitty,” the male officer can be heard saying.
“Well, I’m gonna see if he chases the laser.
“I don’t know, cats like lasers.”
The woman who rang the police appears baffled by the suggestion, replying: “It’s not a normal cat.”
To which the office states: “Cats are all the same.”
The clever bobcat isn’t fooled by the bright light and remains exactly where it is.
It later strolls out of the home in Ken Caryl, Jefferson County, Colorado, of its own accord.
And the brief clip of the officer’s laser pointer suggestion has left people in stitches online, as reported by What’s The Jam.
“Cats and dogs chase laser pointers but this bobcat was not impressed,” said Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
“When it wandered into a Ken Caryl home and cosied up behind the TV, our deputies thought outside the box – trying their TASER’s green lasers to coax it out.
“The bobcat’s verdict? Not interested.
“It left at its own pace, right out the open back door.
“Guess some intruders just aren’t dazzled by our high-tech tricks.”
Social media users had plenty to say about the breaking and entering.
Ashlee joked: “Okay but how cute is the officer thinking a laser is gonna faze a murder kitten. Love this. Hahahahaha.”
Anastasia added: “Ah you guys didn’t try the box trick. I fits I sits.”
Austin said: “Alright. So the cat owns the house now. And I now pay it in cat food and a warm shelter.”
Laura joked: “Problem is you didn’t ‘Pspspspspspsps’… So it wasn’t inspired to move.”
Matt said: “Pshhhh laser pointers won’t work ‘It’s not a normal cat’. ‘Cats are all the same… ‘(valid point) shines own laser for kitty kitty.”
Jessica added: “Yeah! He’s not a normal cat, he’s a cool cat!”
Chelsy said: “Omg officer is me! ‘Idk cats like lasers!’ Reason number one why I always carry a laser pointer with me… and a black light lol.”
The incident took place on 22 May with the video later shared online on 28 May.
