A teacher has gone viral after capturing breathtaking footage of the world’s tallest waterfall from a helicopter.
Alan Chung filmed the jaw-dropping moment he flew over Angel Falls in Venezuela, which towers at an incredible 979 metres (3,212 feet).
The primary school teacher, who has worked in Caracas since 2019, had seen the famous falls before – but only from the ground.

This time, the 42-year-old took to the skies to experience the natural wonder like never before.
“It was unbelievable – seeing Angel Falls from a helicopter is a privilege few people in the world will have,” Alan told What’s The Jam.
“Especially with the reputation Venezuela has as a dangerous country to visit.”
His video went viral, racking up a staggering 7.17 million views, 688,000 likes and over 4,700 comments from people around the world.
One person said: “If it looks gigantic even from the camera, I cannot imagine how big it’s in reality.”
Others compared the incredible footage to scenes from Jurassic Park, Avatar, and Up.
