An Ed Sheeran lookalike has claimed they feel trapped due to looking like the pop star – after being informed he needs to be insured for £10m to visit a shopping centre.
Ty Jones – who now boasts a whopping 123,000 followers online – lifted the lid on what life is really like being the world-famous ginger star’s doppelgänger.
The ginger-haired 30-year-old even avoids shopping centres now – considering them to be nothing but “trouble” for him.

The Trafford Centre, in his home city of Manchester, is particularly tricky – with the lookalike now claiming he needs to be insured for £10m to film there.
“I need to be insured for £10m to film there and give notice,” Ty told What’s The Jam.
“I went in there and caused giant crowds that followed me all over the place.
“I do have to be mindful of the stir Ed Sheeran actually causes.
“I consider shopping centres and busy places potential trouble.”
However, lookalike work has transformed Ty’s life, making him huge online.
Ty has worked as the chart-topping 35-year-old singer’s double for the last decade.
But that career hasn’t been all fun and games, with the dead ringer for the Shape Of You hitmaker often being mobbed in the streets.
Some fans have even injured themselves in the process of trying to figure out if he was the pop star or not.
Ty said: “A man went flying over his handlebars on his bike.
“It was a proper Carry On moment and he looked devastated when he realised I wasn’t Ed.
“I’ve been shouted at for not being Ed Sheeran, too.
“Ed Sheeran fans can go from crying about how you’re their hero to being annoyed quite quickly.”
