A savvy shopper has shared a “game changer” hack that helps Tesco customers who regularly forget to take a shopping list.
Getting home from doing your food shopping, only to discover you’ve forgotten half of what you needed, is an experience many of us deal with regularly.
There are many different factors that go into this – maybe the shop is busy, or you’ve brought your kids along, or maybe you’re just in a rush.

It’s happened to us all – but one mum has taken to social media after discovering a clever trick to prevent the annoyance.
In a clip which has garnered 26,000 views on TikTok, Alex Grogan shared the simple way parents can make shopping trips easier when their little ones are with them.
In the video, the 29-year-old shared the three tricks she uses to make her shopping trips go smoothly.
The first is using the Tesco app to create a shopping list by selecting the store you’ll be visiting and adding anything you’ll be looking for.
The most useful part of this, according to Alex, is that the app will then tell you exactly which aisle in the store you can find your products.
The second tip is to filter the shopping list by aisle – this means you can follow an exact route through the store and know you won’t miss what you’re looking for.
Finally, Alex said that if you pick up a Tesco Scan as you Shop scanner in store and sign in, it will load your shopping list on to the device.
This means you can scan each item as you walk around the store, add it straight to your bags in your trolley and skip the regular checkouts when paying.
Alex called the simple hacks a “game changer in the shopping world with toddlers”.
“Using the hacks have helped so much as a mum to a very active toddler,” Alex, from Aberdeen, told What’s The Jam.
“It allows me to speed up the process of shopping but also not spend extra by going down aisles that I maybe didn’t need to look for things.”
The social media post proved popular with other parents too.
One viewer commented: “STOP I didn’t know this!! Mine are 19 & 15 years and shopping is still chaotic.”
“Never knew any of this,” said another shocked user.
Someone else wrote: “Omg this is amazing!! I spend so much time going up and down and always forget stuff.”
“Game changer. i alway forget things cos the toddler kicks off,” another mum said.
Someone else added: “What the hell ! Mind blown I can’t wait to try this out.”
Alex said of the response: “These reactions make me feel amazing as I know how frustrating it can be going shopping alone, never mind with a child.”
