Online foodies have been left stunned by a viral video of incredible sushi – but all is not as it seems, as the dish is actually made entirely from mushrooms.
The clip was shared by Aqua Cultured Foods (@aquaculturedfoods), a company that has decided to test creating sushi with alternative products, after noticing a decrease in fish populations around the world.
In the video, which has over 7,400 views and rising, a person can be seen making ‘sea bass’-themed sushi out of fermented mushrooms.
“Delicate slices of sashimi, that are that tender you won’t believe it’s not fish, because, shhh, it’s NOT fish!’, the clip is captioned.
The video starts with the chef positioning the sticky rice in a straight line. They then top it with a mushroom alternative, making it look like white fish.
Finally, they finish it off with a strip of seaweed.
Stunned followers have been very quick to comment on the video.
One person commented: “Looks so yummy.”
Someone else added: “This looks so real!”
Brittany said: “I’m here for it!”
Andi wrote: “Non fish sushi sounds great!”
“This looks delicious,” commented Devon.

In another clip, which has thousands of views, they re-created spicy tuna rolls.
“Soon, restaurants will be able to offer incredibly life-like spicy tuna, to cater to people who have seafood allergies or don’t want to consume the real thing,” the post was captioned.
The video shows the chef making a spicy tuna roll, as they grab seaweed wrapping topped with rice, avocado and cucumber.
They then add the ‘fake tuna’ on top and tightly roll the sushi.
This is then cut into bitesize portions, with users loving the alternative fish dish.
One person commented: “Yummmm!!” [sic]
Another follower added: “Can’t come soon enough!”
“Best spicy tuna everrrrr,” said Mai. [sic]
Someone else said: “WHEN?????” [sic]
“Aqua is the future!,” added another fan.
