A single mum has revealed how she took her four kids to Florida and it cost less than an all-inclusive week in Turkey.
As the years flew by, and Chloe Busby’s kids only got older, she made it her mission to take her brood somewhere magical before their childhood years were over.
But with an average price tag of £13,500, the mum-of-four thought her dream of going to Florida wasn’t within reach.

Especially as a single mum.
Instead, they jetted off for a week in Turkey, costing a much more reasonable £7,500 all in.
However, after totting up the daily cost, the 37-year-old worked out she had spent £1,071 per day, across seven days.
Shocked by the figure, it spurred the primary school teacher to do some research and in July 2026, she and her kids finally got on the plane to Florida.
And it cost £1,473 less for the same amount of time away.
“Taking four children to Florida on my own felt like quite a big deal,” Chloe, from London, who runs @lifewiththebusbys, told What’s The Jam.
“As a single mum, travelling that far could easily have felt overwhelming.
“But it genuinely didn’t.
“I was really proud that I’d organised it and taken them there myself and seeing how much they loved it made all the planning worth it.
“I’d always seen Florida as one of those dream holidays that would be out of reach for us because of how much people says it costs.
“It has this reputation for being extremely expensive, so I expected it to be much worse than one of our usual all-inclusive holidays.
“What surprised me was that when I broke the cost down by day, we were actually getting much more for our money than I expected.
“When the kids saw the globe at Universal for the first time, it was one of those moments where I thought I’ve actually done it.
“They were so excited – and I was probably just as excited as they were.”
Chloe, along with her four kids, Archie, 17, Maisie, 15, Charlie, 12 and Darcie, eight, flew out on 31 July 2026 from Gatwick.
In total, their flights with Norse Atlantic Airways cost £3,736.23; which was priced as four adults and one child due to their ages.
They stayed at an Airbnb on the infamous 11-mile resort strip, International Drive Orlando, costing £947.92 for 11 nights.
Other costs include their Universal tickets, eating out and on taxis [see full breakdown below].
In total, the trip cost £9,466.87 – more overall than Turkey, though less per day.
And it was a bargain; especially when considering their Middle East visit was for less time and spent mostly by the pool [see below for breakdown of costs].
But there’s a few tips that made the holiday budget-friendly.
Chloe said: “I think people hear the big prices for flights and theme park tickets and automatically assume the whole holiday is completely out of reach.
“There are so many choices you can make around where you stay, how you get around, where you eat and which parks you actually want to visit.
“We didn’t stay in a Disney or Universal hotel and we didn’t hire a car, which made a big difference.
“I was expecting to come home thinking it was amazing but probably too expensive to do again.
“But I actually came back wanting to do it all again.
“I’d compare accommodation outside of theme park hotels, especially somewhere central.
“Also, price up Uber against hiring a car once you’ve included fuel, parking and tolls.
“And knowing which parks we actually wanted to do instead of trying to do everything meant I’d set a realistic budget for spending before going.
“I think our flights could’ve been cheaper had we booked in advance, as I only planned the trip three weeks before going.”
Chloe’s biggest tip, though? Worry less.
She added: “Florida surprised me and it ended up being the best holiday we’ve ever had.
“There was so much to do, the children absolutely loved it and I feel like we go so much for the money.
“Travelling as one adult with four children could’ve been quite overwhelming; but it was honestly so incredible and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.”
