A daredevil OAP has crashed a self-built helicopter that resembles James Bond’s Little Nellie.
The 70-year-old man built and tested the small aircraft without any flying experience whatsoever.
He went to an airfield in California to try out his little makeshift chopper.

A video of his debut flight shows the OAP taking off in the autogyro before promptly plummeting back to the ground.
He regains control and takes to the sky under the watchful eye of nervous airfield workers.
The cameraman is heard saying: “Oh, f***.
“Holy s***, dude.”
The inexperienced pilot then tries to land his self-built chopper on the tarmac behind a building.
He momentarily touches down before the craft surges into the air.
The cameraman says: “Shut it off, shut it off.”
The chopper then crashes on its roof.
The OAP is seen being treated on the ground by emergency workers.
A woman holds his head straight as blood oozes from a wound on the right side of his face.
However, the elderly daredevil appears more concerned with his flight than his health.
He asks: “How high was I?”
A helper replies: “About 200 feet.”
He then apparently asks about his chopper and is told: “You just bent some metal, all that matters is that you’re okay.”
The novice pilot asks: “How was the landing?”
Someone replies: “It wasn’t that great!”
After the filmed scenes, the unnamed OAP vowed: “I’m going to try again.”
The video was shared on Instagram by Trevor Jacob, 31, an American Olympian, extreme sports athlete and YouTuber, as reported by What’s The Jam.
Jacob, who comes from California, US, also has a pilot’s licence and films content related to flying and parachuting.
He wrote: “Grandpa built a helicopter, flew it with no experience.
“Legend.”
The clip has garnered 94,000 views and hundreds of comments.
One local said: “I thought he had it, I was definitely rooting for him.”
Another wrote: “I admire his dedication and commitment, but talk him into some lessons from a real pilot.”
“Someone got to stop gramps, not safe,” commented someone else.
Paul remarked: “Well he did fly…”
Donny said: “I can’t believe this is a real video.”
The OAP’s aircraft resembles a Wallis WA-116 Agile which, nicknamed Little Nellie, was flown in the 1967 James Bond film You Only Live Twice.
