A Despicable Me fan has spotted the face of Gru staring back at him from a potato salad.
Daniel Bebbington was making lunch for his daughters when he noticed that the spuds were shaped just like the character’s eye and eyebrow.
Even the strip of bacon looked like his long nose.

Daniel and his daughters – Esmae, eight, and five-year-old Harper – are huge fans of the Despicable Me and Minions films.
So they were delighted to spot the cunning character in their dinner.
“I was making a potato salad for the family and as I was mixing in the bacon and mayo, I noticed it looked just like Gru,” Daniel, from Middlewich, Cheshire, said.
“The way the bacon landed was in the shape of his long pointy nose.
“The marks in the potato looked just like Gru’s eyebrow and eye.
“I found it so funny so I showed it to my kids.
“Then I sent it to my friends and they loved it.
“One person said Gru must be living a double life.”
The character, who is voiced by Steve Carrell, is the main protagonist in all four of the Despicable Me films and two Minions movies, as reported by What’s the Jam.
At the beginning of the first film, Gru is an ambitious supervillain but he eventually changes his ways when he adopts three children.
Esmae and Harper were so excited that they ran to watch the Minions film.
Daniel said: “They love Gru.
“We’re big Despicable Me and Minion fans.
“My daughters are at the perfect age.
“They were so excited and found it hilarious so of course they put the Minions film on straight away.”
