CIA wants to hire extremely fit people who can do at least 27 sit-ups per minute

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is looking for an extremely fit person to join their ranks as an executive protective agent.

The full-time role requires applicants to complete a fitness test that will be repeated on an annual basis, as reported by What’s The Jam.

And it’s not for the faint-hearted.

The test requires candidates to do a minimum of 27 sit-ups and 18 push ups in one minute or less.

Applicants will also need to be able to do a one and half mile run in 15 minutes and 20 seconds or less.

Additionally, you’ll need to drag a 12-stone dummy to safety in two minutes maximum.

The successful candidate will join a team of existing agents who offer 24/7 armed protection for personnel worldwide, 365 days of the year.

Meaning you must use issued weapons and equipment while at work.

Don’t plan on having much of a social life, though.

You’ll be required to work overtime, night shifts, weekends, holidays and always be available to travel overseas.

Anyone looking to apply must be over the age of 18, be an American citizen and be willing to move to Washington DC.

The salary ranges from approximately £52,500-£96,500 ($66,654-$122,459).

But you’ll get paid for overtime and receive premium pay benefits, too.

“As an Executive Protective Agent for the Central Intelligence Agency, you will be part of a team that provides 24/7/365 armed protection for Intelligence Community leaders world-wide,” the ad reads.

“You will serve on teams at foreign and domestic sites, liaise with foreign security officials, operate armoured security vehicles, analyse threats in order to modify protective profiles, and utilise issued weapons and equipment.

“As a CIA employee, you’ll also get the satisfaction of knowing your work is part of something bigger than yourself.

“Our work is driven by one mission: to keep our Nation safe.

“Every day is an opportunity to enhance U.S. national security.”
