A video gaming mum who plans her childcare around new releases has revealed she is sending her daughter on a 24-hour sleepover when GTA 6 comes out.
Charlotte De Klerck is buzzing for the latest edition of the iconic video game franchise and already has a plan in place.
The 30-year-old admitted she’ll be sending her daughter out the house for 24 hours to allow her and her husband an uninterrupted gaming session.

The sleepover was booked an entire year in advance.
“As soon as Rockstar dropped the release date, I booked my mum to babysit,” Charlotte, from Taunton, Somerset, told What’s The Jam.
“I’ve been strategic and booked my daughter in for a 24 hour sleepover.

“She will be dropped off early on Friday morning to allow me time to smash through the story.”
GTA 6 is set to release worldwide on 19 Nov, with gamers eagerly anticipating the first installment since 2013.

The franchise, which has been going since 1997, is one of the most successful in the business.
Charlotte is one of millions across the world who already have their release day plans in place.
However, for many others gaming is a huge part of their lives – whilst this mother is purely focussed on GTA.

Charlotte claims she doesn’t play any other games and got into GTA much later in life whilst actually raising her child without screens.

Charlotte said: “I don’t really play games. I’m too busy and I don’t have enough time – before I had a baby I did.
“On GTA on the Xbox 360 I could easily spend 12 and 14 hours on a weekend or binge 48 hours and sleep sparsely whilst gaming.
“My daughter was actually raised screen free for the first 18 months.
“She’s banned from iPad’s and she’s banned from phones.
“I’ve had a lot of backlash in the comments on my video but I know my gaming is a rarity – I’ve not touched GTA since I was pregnant.”
Despite having a break from her fix, the GTA 6 release date has been in the calendar for over a year.
Due to being raised mostly off screens, her daughter isn’t a fan of gaming, so the parents decided it would be best for her to be out the house whilst they play.
Charlotte said: “I still recall the day GTA 5 came out and half the boys in college skipped class for one week.
“I didn’t get the hype then, but have since spent my late teens and entirety of twenties frequenting Los Santos to unwind.
“I’ve been so excited for the release of 6, but at the end of August I realised it wouldn’t be compatible with our Xbox.
“Many tears were shed.
“The next week, which happened to be my 30th birthday, my husband bought me a shiny new PS5 so I can play.
“I could’ve married him again in that moment.”
On the release date, Charlotte is set to spend an entire day playing through the story with her husband.
Following the return of their daughter, the gaming sessions will be fitted in around her ‘nap’ schedule.
Charlotte added: “I would’ve asked for her to have a longer sleepover, but she is already spending a full weekend with my parents in early November, so it’s not fair on her.
“I will instead be cramming gaming sessions in during her nap times and ensuring she gets an early night until I have finished that storyline.”
